We have all experienced a time in our life that we seriously question our happiness. Are we even capable of happiness? The battle of life, the pain of regret, the exhaustion of raising children, the fight to have a marriage in a self-seeking and unfaithful world where our "flesh" roars for attention and wants the limelight, the war on the health of our bodies.....
"Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief." Psalm 143:1
As we turn to God and remember what he has brought us through and what he promises for our future we make our flesh "cry" and we find a strength and peace for the moment.
"Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground." Psalm 143:10
As we continue to trust Him and seek his face we begin to realize that the "VALLEY" was a gift. The valley was there for the exact amount of time that we needed to become who God intends us to be. And when the Mountain top experience comes we rejoice in thankfulness rather than proud arrogance.
"As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forevermore." Psalm 125:2
